City of Angels NJ

Our Patriot Awards Gala is Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 6-10pm. This year, through Your Charity Auction, we are offering an online auction. We have over one-hundred items to bid on, with the auction opening on Sept 6 and closing on Sept 15. It's simple...all you have to do is register a bidder account to participate on a bid and there is no obligation unless you win your bid item. The auction will also be open onsite for online bidding at our Patriot Awards Gala. We also have an opportunity for our community partners to promote their business by donating an item to our auction. The item will appear on our auction site with your business name as a sponsor. To donate just email Kevin Meara at kevinmeara@cityofangelsnj.org. From all of us at City of Angels, a heartfelt Thank You.

Every Bid, Share and Donation Counts!

Welcome to our Patriot Awards Charity Auction! Why choose City of Angels...Because our message gets heard! At City of Angels we realize that our donor's charitable dollars are limited and you must choose wisely when determining who gets those donations. So, why choose COA? We are a non-profit 501.C.3 who has been serving our community with all volunteers for nearly two decades. While our original vision of helping people get help is still our central mission, we have expanded as the community's needs have increased, including veteran services. Faced with segmented systems (mental health, substance-use, medical, law enforcement, education), COA is comprehensive in that we help the community en masse to navigate these systems. In 2008, COA was created out of necessity after the tragic overdose death of KC Meara, son of founders, Maryann & Kevin Meara. As the opioid epidemic took shape, friends of KC and their parents asked Maryann and Kevin for help. As with most parents facing a child dealing with mental health and substance use disorders (addiction), the Mearas had a lot to learn and so they did! Together, with friends and family, City of Angels was formed and incorporated in March 2009 with a Board of Trustees and volunteers. COA may be a small mom and pop non-profit, but our volunteers believe they do big things in impacting the devastation this health crisis has had and continues to have on our community. Please support us through a donation or bid, thank you!
