The Niabi Zoo has one of the most dynamic and impactful suite of conservation programs of any zoo of its size ( and many that are larger) in the United States. Our programs range in scope from the over 20 cooperative captive breeding programs for threatened and endangered animals, to the field conservation and research initiatives headed up by our staff. These programs are carried out in close cooperation with our conservation partners. In the case of our breeding programs, these partners include a number of zoos and aquaria in the United States and Canada. Our field projects have an even further reach, with carnivore ecology, and freshwater biodiversity studies in South America, and conservation education training for local students in Zimbabwe. Closer to home, we have focused on pollinator habitat restoration and and educating our guest about the vital importance of these critical species.

We are proud and honored to be able to make real and lasting contributions in all of these areas, and plan to do even more moving forward. All of these things however take time and resources. That is why your support of our auction is so important. we cannot do this work without your support. Through your generosity, the Niabi Zoo can continue to make a difference both at home and abroad. So please, consider making a purchase so that we can continue to make positive things happen for animals and their habitats both at home and around the world.
