The Charlotte Players are extremely proud to be one of the oldest performing arts organizations in both Charlotte County and the State of Florida as a collective whole. Our organization has continually grown and evolved since our origins as a solo acting Class that began back in 1961 at "Charlotte U", an educational institute that was located in what currently is a part of the Cultural Center of Charlotte County.

We are extremely pleased to say that we have over two hundred and thirty active members supplemented by six hundred subscribers to our Main Stage Productions and Langdon Playhouse newsletters which are delivered in both print and digital formats. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible.

Charlotte Players, in its current operation, is composed of our Langdon Playhouse flagship program, Kids Onstage and our Special Events presentations. Throughout the year we host many special events and shows at various locations. Our 2025-2026 season has multiple presentations at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center and Charlotte Performing Arts Center. We also provide an invaluable service to our community via our community partnership with the Dolly Parton-Charlotte County Imagination Library whose sole focus is to promote education among pre-school children by providing free books designed to get children classroom ready as they enter school.

Charlotte Players have operated as a nonprofit in Charlotte County for 65 years. We are dedicated to continuing a rich tradition of providing quality theater art through the avenues of education and entertainment productions. All to enrich our residents and visitors of Charlotte County.
