The Hickory Choral Society raised its collective voice for the first time in 1978, touching music lovers in the Catawba Valley with the spirit of song. Today, some 100 singers from multiple counties blend their voices in harmony, brought together by a common devotion to musical excellence.  In addition to our performances, HCS supports music education via a summer choral camp for children, a music lending library for schools and churches, and annual music grants available to public school music teachers in Catawba, Alexander, Burke and Caldwell counties.

The mission of the Hickory Choral Society is "To transform lives through performance, support of music education, and the advancement of social harmony in the North Carolina foothills and beyond."
